The team of 1923-24. This was a disappointing season with only a 7th place finish in the league and very early exit from the FA Cup. The only shining light of the season was that W. Chadwick was to be the top goal scorer in the first division with 28 goals.

The 1936-37 season started brightly with six wins in the first ten games, however the sides poor away form meant that the team finished 17th. It was also to be Dixie Dean's last full season with Everton and he was, again, to be top scorer with 24 goals.

The 1937-38 season was to be the final one that featured Dixie Dean and Albert Geldard in an Everton shirt. The season itself was a dismal affair with the team finishing 17th in the League and going out of the FA Cup when Sunderland won 1-0 in round 4.
